Abstract: Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) is one of the most commonly used remote sensing indexes for vegetation research. Long-term NDVI data is of great significance to the study of vegetation change. This data set contains the monthly maximum composite NDVI data in China from 1982 to 2020. It is mainly based on the NOAA CDR NDVI product using the R language rgee package to call Google Earth Engine for monthly maximum synthesis and cropping. This data set can reflect the spatio-temporal changes of China's NDVI from 1982 to 2020, and can provide long-term series data support for vegetation change analysis and ecological environment monitoring in China.
