摘要:中山站高频相干散射雷达位于我国南极中山站西南高地(69.4S76.4E),该雷达于2010年4月建成并投入常规运行。中山站高频雷达是目前我国在南极地区架设的唯一一部高频相干散射雷达,于2012年加入国际超级双子极光雷达网(Super Dual Auroral Radar Network, SuperDARN)。中山站高频雷达获取的等离子体视线速度对于开展极区电离层对流观测研究具有重要的意义。本数据集包含2012年雷达rawacf、fitacf格式的数据文件以及雷达视距时间强度图(Range-Time-Intensity, RTI)。本数据集可以用来开展地球极区磁层-电离层能量耦合、高纬电离层对流、电离层不均匀体结构、磁层亚暴动力学等方面的研究。

Abstract: One of SuperDARN (Super Dual Auroral Radar Network) HF radar, located at Chinese Antarctic Zhongshan station, was built successfully in April 2010 and routinely operated. ZHO radar is the only HF radar running in Anarctica for Chinese science community, which could play crucial role in measuring ionospheric plasma convection by using radar line-of-sight Doppler velocity. The dataset includes those data acquired in 2012, which comprises of radar rawacf, fitacf files and processed Range-Time-Intensity (RTI) plot. By using this dataset, researchers could carry out investigations in polar magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling, high-latitude ionospheric convection, plasma irregularities and magnetospheric substorm studies.
