Abstract: Wave energy is the leader in clean energy and the most abundant energy in the ocean. In order to obtain the effective wave height data of the northern Indian Ocean in the last 10 years (2009–2018), this paper carried out research with the reanalysis dataset of ERA wind field, processed significant wave height output by 3 h in WAVEWATCH-III (hereinafter referred to as WW3) mode. We debug back and forth in the WW3 model for optimal output and provide a detailed data acquisition process. The sharing of this data is conducive to better access and utilization of data, providing assistance to researchers in need, and providing data support for the research and development of Marine energy.
