摘要:高亚洲是以青藏高原为主的亚洲高海拔地区,是中低纬度积雪的重要分布区,其积雪的动态变化对该区域水和能量循环、气候及环境变化具有重要的影响。全球广泛使用的积雪雪水当量(SWE)产品(如ESA GlobSnow)在高亚洲地区出现数据空缺情况,部分全球算法则在高亚洲地区具有普遍高估的现象。本数据以AMSR-E亮温数据为输入基础,基于NASA标准算法及不同下垫面的青藏高原改进算法生产了2套青藏高原地区2002–2011年ASMR-E雪水当量数据集,其中青藏高原改进算法采用地面气象台站实测雪深进行了验证和评估,表明青藏高原改进算法产品精度具有提升。此外,本研究还结合MODIS逐日无云积雪面积产品和NASA积雪算法的SWE产品,获得2003–2011年微波和光学雪水当量综合数据集1套。此3套雪水当量产品数据集可为高亚洲区域气候变化、水、能量平衡、环境变化和水资源利用等科学研究提供基础数据支持。

Abstract: High Asia is a high-altitude region in Asia mainly comprised of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. As an important zone for snow distribution in the middle and low latitudes, dynamic changes of its snow cover have a great impact on the water and energy cycle, climate and environmental changes in the region. Snow water equivalent (SWE) products (such as ESA GlobSnow), which are widely used around the world, are insufficient for High Asia, and certain global algorithms may generate overestimated data when applied in High Asia. Based on the AMSR-E brightness temperature data, we used the NASA standard algorithm and an optimized algorithm to produce two sets of ASMR-E snow-water equivalent data for the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau from 2002 to 2011. A validation of the improved algorithm against the snow depth measured by ground meteorological stations indicated an improved accuracy of the algorithm. In addition, we obtained another comprehensive set of data for microwave and optical snow water equivalents from 2003 to 2011, based on MODIS daily cloud-free snow cover products and SWE products generated by NASA snow algorithm. The three sets of snow water equivalent data provide statistical support for scientific research pf climate change, water and energy balance, environmental change and water use in High Asia.
