Abstract & Keywords
Abstract: With a spatial resolution of 0.25 degree, this dataset covers the entire China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and spans from January 1st, 1961 to December 31th, 2015. It is based on the observed daily precipitation, maximum and minimum temperature of 65 stations along CPEC and its surrounding regions, incorporating DEM as a covariate and using ANUSPLIN software for spatial interpolation. The gridded precipitation, maximum and minimum temperature are evaluated through statistical metrics including Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) and Correlation Coefficient (CC) on daily and monthly timescales over the entire region. This dataset can provide data support for the climate change research and meteorological disaster risk assessment along CPEC.

Dataset compositionThe dataset consists of 3 subsets in total, of which (1) CPEC_PRE.zip is the gridded daily precipitation data from 1961 to 2015, with a data volume of 98.5 MB. (2) CPEC_TMAX.zip is the daily maximum temperature data from 1961 to 2015, with a data volume of 245 MB. (3) CPEC_TMIN.zip is the daily minimum temperature data from 1961 to 2015, with a data volume of 237 MB.
