Abstract & Keywords
Abstract: Ionosonde is one of the most conventional ground-based ionospheric observation instruments. A DPS4D digital ionosonde was setup at the Mohe station of Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences under the support of the Meridian Project. The Mohe DPS4D ionosonde is the northernmost ionosonde operated in China. It plays an important role in the observation and study of regional ionospheric characteristics and propagation of ionospheric disturbances. This dataset contains the raw ionogram data and auto-scaled ionospheric characteristics data in the whole year of 2014. This raw data in this dataset is accurate, reliable, and continuous, which can support the study of ionospheric weather and climatology.

Dataset compositionThis dataset contains 96,302 data files. (1) RSF files are the ionospheric vertical sounding raw data files. A RSF file will be produced in each ionospheric sounding event. There are 48,151 individual RSF ionogram files with a total data volume of 23.6 GB. (2) SAO files are the ionospheric parameter files produced by auto-scaling the vertical sounding ionogram file. There are 48,151 individual SAO files with a total data volume of 315.2 MB.
